When choosing home decor, having the proper rug is one of the key elements to creating a room that is warm, inviting, and functional. Rugs soften the noise of a hard floor, provide comfort when walking on firm floor, and create an attractive visual plane for either accenting or unifying a room's stylistic look. While most rugs on the market are very expensive due to their size, the amount of materials and energy used to manufacture them, and their unique designs, buying a rug is still possible, however, even on the tightest home decorating budget thanks to overstock rugs.
Overstock rugs are quality rugs that may be found at various retailers at a significantly discounted prices. While these rugs are just as beautiful and of the same level of quality and function as rugs at normal retail price, they are much more inexpensive.
Why Overstock Rugs Are Discounted? Quality rugs with discounted price tags may be offered at such prices due to several reasons:
1. They may be a part of a wholesale purchase from a warehouse. When larger department stores or retailers buy their merchandise, they will often buy in large quantities which helps lower their purchase price. Since their list price is lower on the wholesale lot, it allows them to offer a low price per rug to you, the shopper.
2. They may be rugs from a designer's previous season of products. Many of the most beautiful rugs come directly from a designer/manufacturer to a home furnishings store or online retailer, and when the designer wants to release a new line of products, they often want to sell their older items quickly, such as their designer rugs, to make room for a new season's designs. A lower price means a quicker sale, which benefits you as an overstock buyer.
3. They may be excess stock that a department store or other retailer accidentally orders from a designer or manufacturer. Sometimes, even when department stores carefully plan out their merchandising plans, they make an error on their order from a rug designer or manufacturer and end up with several excess pieces of stock. Instead of sending them back to the manufacturer, they often will simply sell the excess stock at a discounted price to you.
4. They may simply be stock that has been reallocated from one home furnishing store to another, and in the process, has been given a new discounted price. Rugs, like any other home good or retail product, is produced in all sorts of environments, by all sorts of different manufacturers and designers. And because of that, there are thousands of rugs that are transported, shipped, and stocked all over the world. So often, as a result, some beautiful rugs travel far from their intended location, and end up with a significantly discounted price because perhaps the store or retailer who finally sells it does not know how much it is truly worth.
Where to find Overstock Rugs? Overstock rugs, similar to off-price retail clothing and other goods, may be found at a variety of overstock rugs and home furnishing retailers that specifically market to price-conscious shoppers.
